KTOH == MWC ?

Have you ever noticed that the all-new "King of the Hill" is alot like the recently canceled "Married... With Children"? Here are some striking similarities:

• Hank sells propane products and propane accesorries.
• Al sells women's shoes and accesorries.

• Peggy Hill.
• Peggy Bundy (well, d'uh!).

• Hank's son had an affair with a plastic head.
• Al's son Bud has a continueing affair with an inflatable woman.

• Hank's niece Luanne is an attractive blonde who is going to beautician school.
• Al's daughter Kelly is a blonde bimbo who went to modeling school.

• Luanne's mother is in jail for killing her husband.
• Peggy tried to kill Al on at least one occasion.

• Hank's neighbor is a conspiracy theorist.
• Al's neighbor Jefferson D'arcy is a spy linked to Fidel Castro.

• Hank's dog is a fullbred bloodhound.
• While Al's dog is potrayed as a mutt, the late Buck is actully a fullbred French Braird.

• Hank drinks beer with his buddies.
• Al drinks beer with his NO'MAAM buddies.

Not that anyone will even read this, but for those that do....

Married W/ Children, though not appropriate to discuss on a Simpson's News Group, needs to have its share of credit given. The show, which lasted over a decade (which is ALOT more than I can say for King of the Hill) needs be applauded. It was humorous, though often times vulgur and sexist (which to those defending KOTH...remember back when Grandpa came to visit and taught whatever the son's name is about how to treat women. So, when you go pointing fingers at shows, take a good look at the one that you are defending.

I for one did enjoy Married with Children for a few of its years on the air. (Namely the first six). I thought it was really getting old by season 10, and season 11 was actually mildly enjoyable. MWC attracts a different crowd from King of the Hill. Comparing the shows is like mixing apples with oranges. You might already note that Cotton Hill wasn't made out to be a hero in KotH, unlike he would've been in MWC. King of the Hill has yet to have made a crude show. I think that most sane people learn MORALS from someplace other than TV. B & B and MWC had their moments, and at least werent mind-numbingly boring as The Single Guy or Jeff Foxworthy

However, there is one HUGE difference. In King of the Hill, the Hills all love and respect each other. There was absolutely no love of any sort among the Bundys.

What do you mean no love of any sort??? Watch the episode guest-starring Vanna White. You'll see lots of love there. Even though they may throw wiss-cracks to each other it is obvious they will stick by each other no matter what happens.

Married... With Children was not completely without morale. I am a fan of both shows... and the Simpsons so I really can't choose which one is better but let me say this. The Bundys do love and care for each other, even though they don't show it. In certain episodes it is clear however, like the episode guest starring Vanna White. Peg and the kids had a chance of making $500,000 if they sold Al to Coco (VW's character) but instead of running off and becoming rich (to mainland standards) they chose to stay with their father. And when Kelly told Bud that she needed the house to film a commercial and Bud wanted the house to be with his girlfriend, he let her use the house even though all Kelly did was be with HER boyfriend. Love is evident, you just have to dig a little bit deeper than in King of the Hill. By the way... the acronym for King of The Hill is KOTH not KTOH.
