the really annoying part ( for us westerners, at least ) is that the game is scheduled for five PM Pacific time..........it may very well be over by 8 o' clock, our time, but there's _no way_ we're gonna get the premiere, even if it is...........ah, well, maybe they'll run "Husky Bobby" for us again...........gee, wouldn't that be neat-o?

What the hell is worong with the Fox network. I mean, here you go running half page ads in the television listings of the newspaper (at least that is what they did in Seattle) and then you bump it. I'm not saying that they should not show the game where McGwire may very well do it, but anyone could have guessed that it was going to happen this week. They should have bumped the premiere one week, so that way if anything happens there would be no conflict. Orhey could have given the rights to the game to NBC or ESPN, which they are allowed to do under their contract with the league. Like Peggy says in the commercial, how the Fox network has never made a mistake. Well this is one mistake she must not have known about.

I agree whole-heartedly. Fox really did not think this thing through. I think that they really should have looked at what happened to Comedy Central when they bumped a long promised episode of South Park. The reaction was not pretty. More importantly, Fox was already broadcasting the game on its FX cable network. I realize that not everyone could gets FX, but then again, who cares. It's not as if there is a lot of suspense over whether McGwuire will break the record. He's been hitting a home run at least every other game. At that rate, he may well have eighty before the season is over. If there were only one or two games left in the season, I could see Fox doing this. Otherwise, I think it's a load of crap.

Then there is the TV Guide contest.I'm sitting on all four characters,hoping like hell fox don't screw around and bump off a bystander,and now I have to wait.I guess if I were a fan of baseball,I would be glad they showed the game.But I'm not.I'm not really pissed off about it,more like bummed.

The ballgame is on at 5pm so I'd wager that if the game goes over three hours, yes, KOTH will be pre-empted.
