How Khan and wife met

Here's a small blurb from FHM (a british magazine) about foriegn wedding rituals. This one is from Khan's home country of Laos.

"The Hmong tribesmen of Laos, not regarded for their tenderness towards ladyfolk, practice the marriage ritual of "zij poj niam". The Hmong groom abducts his bride to be, who's expected to weep and moan -the traditional "signal" for the man to have vigorous sex with her. Two Laotian men who chose to uphold this twee custom from their motherland while in America were charged with kidnalp and rape."

Hmm. Kind of puts a new light on the whole relationship between the two Khans. No wonder they always seem to be arguing a lot.

I never would of guessed that Khan liked his sex so rough.

More importantly, though, they're not representative of majority Laotian or Vietnamese culture. I also don't think that they refer to themselves as "Laotian" or "Vietnamese."

I think they are perfectly in sync with each other. Remember the beginning of one episode where Khan is dancing and singing that song "Oh Mickey, you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey Mickey!" and at the perfect moment, Mhin walks across the screen clapping her hands in time with the song. A beautiful and magical moment.
