Season Opener -- A Television First?

I believe the season opener was the first ever television program which: a)Was a half-hour 'sitcom' type program b)Had, as the focus of the plot, guns and/or shooting c)Did *not* end with one character accidently shooting, or almost shooting, another character, and a long lecture about how only cops (like the ones who beat Rodney King) and soldiers (like the ones at the 'Tailhook' party) are responsible enough to own guns.

A-mazing.

Can anyone think of another program meeting the above criteria? (50's Westerns, etc, don't count -- not sitcoms.)

I guarantee you, however, that the upcoming 'Simpsons' gun episode will almost certainly follow the usual pattern.

No, The Simpsons' gun episode ("The Cartridge Family") will probably feature Homer doing a lot of unrealistically stupid things with his guns, and it will probably have some slipshod satiric element in it.
