As per someone else's suggestion, a few quick polls on the best of last season.

Best Episode:

Bobby Slam! Checo State, an Earl Warren Joke and some classic Daleisms (It will be a cold day in hell before there are unisex bathrooms in hte Gribble household). What more could you ask for (except that guy who wants a naked Luanne)?

Best Line:

How did he know I wanted a beer? - Dale Boomhauer, I can't understand a word you are saying - Hank yelling down to Boomhuaer in a well. (both come from the same episode, but the episode itself was not one of my favs. It did have four or five classic lines though.)

Worst Epsiode:

Manger Babies. However, it does have some very good lines.

Episode I liked, but it wouldn't kill me if I never saw it again:

Husky Bobby. How many times do they plan on showing this?

Best Boomhauer line: Dang - old - Meg - lo -mart - Gone - BOOM (said very slow after the operator tells him he's talking too fast)

Best Dale line: Dale's Beast lines from "Hank's Dirty Laundry" Mainly because Dale was right for once.

Runner up - They said he burned his brain looking at the sun too hard. but then, you can't be too smart to do that in hte first place. Kind of a chicken and egg thing.

Best Bobby line: "There is some milk in hte refrigerator about to go bad ... *sniff* ... There is goes."

Best non-regular line: "You can be my goto-guy. First, go to my car and get my cigerettes....."

Feel free to invent your own topics.

( gee, i dunno who's idea this was, but sounds like fun..............)

Top Show: Leanne's Saga ( if only for the BBQ sequence )

Next Best: Texas City Twister ( twisters, trailer-tippin', Bill finally standing up for himself..........what's not to like? )

Best (and, well, only ) Cliffhanger: Propane Boom
( any episode that blows Buckley away is ok by me! of course, i may
have to rescind this award in the event that he survives............or
give this ep _top_ honors if he gets blown skyhigh and comes down on
Khan! two birds with one bonehead................)
Best Vacation: Three Days of the Khando
( three days in sunny Mexico :~) )
Worst Vacation: Three Days of the Khando
( with Khan :~( )

Episode I Imagine We're _All_ Sickest Of By Now: Husky Bobby ( how many airings does that make? three? four? fifty seven? i lose track.........)

Worst Idea for an Episode: Junkie Business
( "hey guys, let's make fun of junkies! and, then, even better-----we
make fun of disabilities in general!!! " what were _they_ smokin'
that day? )

Most Obnoxious Intellectual Episode: Arrow Head ( i _hope_ he was still down in that hole when they filled it back in.............)

Most Obnoxious Anti-Intellectual Episode: Any Cotton Ep...........( no more need be said )

And, Finally, the Episode Most Guilty of That Most Unpardonable of Televisual Sins, That Is to Say, Being Unutterably Booorrring: The Man Who Shot Cane Skretteburg ( paintball wars have _gotta_ be more fun to engage in than to watch-----kinda like whoopie, from what i hear.................)

I thought it was a good episode. I love when the ADA weasel says that "abusing the system makes ruins it for all of those of us with REAl disabilities" Then he holds up his hand and he has one of those bowling wrist protectors. As though his disability is a sprained wrist, or some other non-disability.

Also the classic "that's great Coach, I'm going to go throw up now" and Dale with "I have killed all hte bugs in Alren" and then a bug is running around his "rezum-a"

Did anyone notice that this was the same "twig boy" who was the social worker in the pilot? I'm surprised that he didn't even remember Hank from their previous ordeal.

I'm not surprised by his not remembereing Hank..That type of clueless bureaucrat looks on people as nameless case numbers in their computer and not as real living individuals.

I agree. "Junkie Business" is one of my families fave eps (along with the porno tape ep). Our two favorite quotes--"I'd give my left arm for a big fat gay guy right now, if we could just get some work done!" and Bobby's "You're what Too-Tall Jones calls a 'co-dependent enabler'."
