...is laughing so hard during the dialogue that I can't hear it. I must have missed half of Luanne's "Manger Babies" skits because I was doubled over so hard my knees were blocking my ears. I don't suppose anyone has a transcript of the 1/11 show?
If KotH was going through something of a second-season slump for a couple-three episodes this fall, it has sure pulled out of it. Tonight's show was one of the best yet.

I wish that I did. There was just to many good parts to keep track of them. My favorite part was where she was introducing the Manger Babies. A donkey? Sure. A cat? Okay. A penguin? Ummm... An octopus (er, sexapus)!? I would go out of my way to see *that* nativity scene! Her explaination of who Joe Sixpack was also great ("What! He crashed a truck?").
I loved the sly take on the "typical" ending for sitcoms that deal with these themes (you know, the "omigod, it really *was* a miracle" ending) with Bobbies decidedly amigious anwer to the battery question.
Favorite lines:
Bobby: If your God, I guess that would make me Jesus.
Peggy: Bobby! That is for Luann to decide!
This was indeed a great episode! That Joe Six-Pack bit was funny! It was also good to see Luanne apply to herself a little bit, and it made her happy, too. It was cool how Hank was the hero, and how Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer laughed at his beard.
I hope to see more good episodes like this soon. The dailgue in it was funny, too. It was also good how Peggy kept changing the remote from outside so Hank would forget about the Super Bowl party so he could help Luanne.

Well, I enjoyed the show and Luann is one of my favourite characters, but you're right about the "Hank finally realizes his mistake" thing getting too common. A similar example is the Boggle episode and all the eps with Kahn where he only gets along with Kahn at the end of the show and the one where Burt Reynolds was the competing salesman.
On the other hand there are shows like the one where Bobby becomes a model where Hank definitely does his own thing for the entire show.
Still a damn fine show!

Probably. I doubt even the Manger Babies would top the Super Bowl in the Nielsen ratings. Besides, we'll have at least four new episodes next month since February is a ratings "sweep" month.

Louanne has many great qualities that more than make up for her one or two obvious faults. First and for most, she's caring. She's always worrying about Hank or Bobby, and that makes her a good person. She also tries very hard and never gives up, despite the fact that she often fails at first. She's also inquisitive, and is always trying to better herself. Is she a great role model? Probably not, she does have her faults. She's a Hell of a lot better than Daisy Duke ever was.
