It said in VARIETY today (and also on http://www.geocities.com/arlen_texas ) that Fox was so pleased with season 8 (which is already finished, though of course it hasn't aired yet) that they've already renewed KING OF THE HILL for a ninth season. John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky have signed on to continue running the show in season 9, and Wes Archer will return as supervising director.
