King of the Hill - The Redneck on Rainey Street

This is the worst KOTH episode I've ever seen. Kahn and Minh have had a certain personality throughout the seriesbut in this one they suddenly change their entire lives for weeks on a whim. The show is usually believable and consistent, which is why I like it.

Yes - whenever there is an NFL doubleheader on Fox, the 4:15 Eastern games are expected to last until 7:30, so Fox does not bother beaming a 7:00 program to the eastern half of the country (even those cities that do not get a 4:15 game because of the home market rules). Speaking of which, our NEW EPISODES of Malcolm are getting "joined in progress" these past couple weeks because of football here in the East (North Carolina). It's really starting to piss me off. Although we're grand fathered until the end of this year for the West Coast Feed for FOX on Directv, so I've been Tivoing them off it, it's REALLY ANNOYING nevertheless.

Here in Canada, the CRTC thinks convenient time-shifting of (Canadian and U.S.) networks take more importance than stepping over local broadcast rights. Should be a given that all American's get the U.S. networks from at least 2 time zones (here in Canada, we have 5!!!!!).

It has just been shown on UK TV for the first time this week. The whole thing was a bit unbelieveable. I've never even been to America, but would a "redneck" start up a conversation with someone like Kahn while filling up with petrol? Seems unlikely to me.
