Wasn't there an episode where he said something about winning a lottery? It's always hard to decipher Boomhauerese.

No, he told the coach that his folks won the lottery and now live in Florida. As for the job, in the episode "Nine Pretty Darn Angry Men", where they go to the mower interest group Boomhauer says something about being on worker's comp. And if you really want to decifer his speech, what I do is I usually tape the episodes, so I can watch them at a better time for me and when Boomhauer starts to talk I turn on closed captioning and most of the time it tells me what he is saying, althought once in a while it gives "mumbles incoherently"

Hank and Peggy seemed (typically) oblivious when they discovered a video camera mounted on a tripod in Boomhauer's bedroom.
