Comments on "Edu-macating Lucky"

1. There was no bell or "Yee-haw!" at the beginning of the theme song like there usually is for the season finale.

2. I'll allow Hank to call it "Game Show Network" even though they changed the name to GSN years ago, but as far as I know, they have never aired a "Woolery" episode of "Wheel of Fortune", mainly because just about all of them have been erased. (NBC erased pretty much its entire daytime video tape collection sometime around 1978, since color video tape was expensive (and older tapes did not keep very well) and they figured nobody would want to watch reruns of game shows and soap operas.)

3. Wasn't there a Fox show referenced? I thought Hank blocked the Fox channel when it wasn't football season.

Maybe because it was also the series finale and so they wanted to skip a little "up" touch like that? (Or was the word about this season being the final season just a hoax?)

This was going to be the last season, but when Fox started its "The O.T." show on NFL doubleheader days (pre-empting King of the Hill rather than trying to air new episodes which would probably be "already in progress" in the eastern half of the country), that left a few episodes left over. Fox has managed to (choose one: talk, beg and plead) the cast and staff to work on something like 13 more episodes which, when combined with the leftovers, should give them enough to get through next season, which presumably really will be the final season.

Do you seriously think that the last episode of the series won't be an hour-long special? (Then again, the last "Malcolm in the Middle" wasn't, was it?) Also, according to Mike Judge, the last episode is supposed to end the way the first one began - with Hank, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer drinking beer along the street.

King Of The Hill was renewed for an eleventh (2007) season. This week's episode was #200.

All the more reason they should have had the "special episode" opening; they did for "Ho Yeah!" (#100).

(Also, according to the episode list at tv.com, "Hank's Bully" was #200 - the hour-long episode in Japan is technically two episodes (it even aired this way after the first airing, although Part 1 did not air in the Eastern and Central time zones the second time because of a long football game), and the pilot counts as it did air on Fox.)
