Bill, Bobby, Fence

oooohh, they're funnin' with us..........they surely do want us to wonder about it, at least. hey, maybe Hank and Bill are cousins! that could explain the resemblance, i guess............

There has been alot of speculation in the group lately,over who is Bobby's father.I myself do not believe the whole Bill theory,and I have said so here in the group.But last night,when they showed Bobby and Bill standing by the fence,I thought,holy shit,the group is right.They do resemble each other.I think Mike Judge is just messing with us.He sure gives us viewers something to think about.

I've thought about this (too much, obviously) as well, but I've formulated another theory:

Look closely at Bill, and then at Cotton. Personally, I think they look a lot alike. It might be possible that Hank and Bill are half-brothers.

Certainly, Cotton would be more likely to have an illicit fling than Peggy.

Then again, it's just a cartoon. But it is fun to speculate.

The noses, I think that's the key. Look at the noses head on and in profile.

And what *is* Bobby's middle name?

Now that you bring up noses,the scene where Bill sniffs the dog biscuit,his nose looked just like Bobby's from the ep with the ants,and Bobby was smelling the queen, "Yes my queen".They have the same nostrils.Now I don't so much think that Peggy and Bill were together,but I would question Cotton's behavior.What if Bill is actually Hank's brother?That would explain the similarities between him and Bobby.I just don't think that Peggy is the kind of woman who would cover up an affair.She is more likely to just tell Hank of her misdoings.She is a proud woman who would not lie(except about her talents in the kitchen).Just my thoughts on the subject.There is definitly a link between Bobby and Bill,but what?

Agreed. For me, what it made it click was in "Bobby's Girlfriend" episode, seeing them both go into hysterics on that ratty sofa. The apple never falls far from the tree, huh?

Let me clear something up here. Hank and Bill are _not_ related. They're just friends. Also, if some of you are still pondering about the Bill + Peggy = Bobby theory, I hope last week's episode in the flashback in which Hank and Peggy were playing with Ladybird as a puppy cleared things up for those of you who thought that.

When Peggy found out about redcorn and all that, She was shocked and mad! She would never do such a thing as chaet on Hank. And Bill is nobody's first choice.The reason they look alike is because an artist has a way of drawing things. For example: Matt Groening: Homer Simpson and Kearney look a bit alike. There not cousins or brothers or father son or nothing. Matt Groening drew them the same way. It's the style they use

Quite right. There's been no evidence to support any other scenario. But thanks for clearing it up. They have, like, different names and stuff, and they looked completely different when they were twelve (back when Bill looked very much like the present-day Bobby and Hank looked very much like the present-day Hank).

Is that the episode when the fertility doctor told Hank that he would never be able to have children, way back before Bobby was born? Is that the episode when Peggy was very interested in in-vitro fertilization and Hank was dead-set against it? Is that the episode when Bill took an unusual interest in the attempts to conceive a baby? Is that the episode when Bill appeared to know Bobby's middle name, but Bobby had to get Bill a glass of milk to find out his own middle name? (What *was* it?)

If you are stating that there is no evidence that Bill and Peggy ever had an adulterous affair (despite the episode when he danced with her while Hank was off doing something else, and despite the episode when Peggy talked about kissing Bill), then I agree with you. Suggestions and innuendo do not constitute an affair, do they. It's a family show.

But Hank's theory about how the puppy relaxed his urethra that one time (though never again in the next thirteen years) was certainly charming. And I can see how it might be convincing to those who want to believe it. It could be a medical breakthrough.

cousins often have different names....... we know Bill and Hank grew up together, why _couldn't_ they be family? i don't remember any time they explicitly said they weren't.......that's stone common in smaller midwestern communities ( and Arlen was probably even smaller when they were kids ).......shoot, when i was a kid, i had dozens of relatives living in one small area in Illinois ( 'course, i was out here in LA, but they were all back there ).

and i must say, cousins or not, RJ Valentine raises some _ very_ interesting points about Bobby's conception.........if Peggy _was_ thinking of going off on a trip "to see her Mom" or something and go to the fertility clinic without Hank knowing, she'd very possibly want the "guys" to come from a relative of Hank's, at least, instead of from a stranger. that _alone_ suggests that Bill and Hank are related.......i can't imagine why she'd ask Bill to make a donation to the cause, otherwise!
