What the heck is with koth gettin preempted once again. this time not even for an important moment. a record breaker i can understand but just for a baseball game sure its the season opening but come on there will be lots of other games.

If they cancel it agian for every other day this week I'm going to punch "SOMEBODY!"(even if it's not a fox moran). I've heard many people say 2 weeks ago that Fox didn't know what they had going for them, and I heard many people say that they knew how many people like KOTH, well if they did then the playoffs will wait. Where does this completely baseless idea come from that FOX has something against KOTH - when they are trying to show its strength on an extremely competitive night? Do you not understand the basic business of television? FOX stands to make a lot of money when KOTH enters syndication - they'll need plenty of more episodes to get there. FOX has nothing but the best interest in KOTH. Sure, it sucks that its' preempted for baseball, look at it this way, it leaves more episodes to run the rest of the year.

Fox is also Fox movies, fox interactive Fox world(shows like koth and Simpsons) and fox sports. We have ESPN so what do we need fox sports for? ratings I assume. That's why the X-Files doesn't premiere until Nov 8.

FOX went through this 2 years ago and will go through it in another 2 years when they have the World Series again (NBC has it next year). Sure, it sucks, but again, Tuesday hasn't been preempted much. Sunday is a problem, but FOX doesn't schedule the games themselves, its not totally their fault. They would probably stack the games up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday if they had complete control over them.

i realize FOX doesn't schedule the games, but it _does_ schedule its own shows-----why not preempt some lousy shows on other nights in order to run KOTH and the Simpsons? they could make a big freaking deal about showin' 'em on "special nights" and advertise the heck out of 'em during the games.........the ratings could hardly be worse than they have been lately!

ESPN is cable. Only seen by about 69% of the country. Broadcast is seen by anyone who has a TV.

I don't agree with everything FOX does - they've made a lot of stupid mistakes. I just don't see the problem with KOTH as much as you do. Its simply a difference of opinion. I want to understand why your life is so affected and why some preemptions make you jump to such huge conclusions about FOX.

But they do control the King of the Hill schedule and marketing. Had they left it alone, Fox would have continued to build on a sunday hit that could take over when Simpsons and Xfiles both end their runs. Instead, they have to annouce the stupid move to hollywood which was BS, then there was a cliff hanger that sucked, There was the movie to tuesday which isn't a stong TV night in the first place, and to top it off, they preempt it every other week. In case you haven't notice, KOTH's ratings are crashing though the floor.
