Bender has made two references to being Jewish. The first was in the second episode, when he said "next year in Jerusalem!" which is said on Passover. Secondly, tonight, the more obvious Hanukkah reference was made. Makes ya think. Could his robot religion be based on Judaism? Or am I just talking CRAZY.
PS: Tonight's show was a lot funnier than last weeks, IMHO.

Yeah, his "Next year in Jerusalem!" line referred to his comment about the Jerusalem Sexeteria, but it's also a standard part of many Passover services. Which made it all the more funny.
I thought it was made pretty clear that Bender made up his "holidays" as he went along, and even said so outright during the "Robonica" celebration.
However, Dr. Zoidberg has an obvious New York/Jewish accent even though he's an alien...even funnier since he's clearly some kind of crustacean. See, shellfish aren't Kosher!!

I think bender also celebrated a robotdan or something close to the muslim's ramadan.... He's no muslim either... i beleive
He also mentioned Robonzaa, which is assumedly a reference to Kwanzaa.
Me thinks it was a simple case of exploiting religious holidays for time off work. As we've all done numerous times. I remember the three-week long celebration time I had to book off for the festival of Saint Labatt.
