At the end when Bender commented that he only needed one skull for a mouseketier reunion it left me wondering... which skull is he missing?

Which also lends the question, which set of mouseketeers?

Well, which skulls did he have?

Without going back, my guess is Cubby.

So how come the Mouseteers and (in another episode) Sylvester Stallone like animated heads in a jar?

DGH

Can someone translate this?

I meant to say: So how come the Mouseteers and (in another episode) Sylvester Stallone aren't like animated heads preserved in jars? =:o

Maybe forget about it and see these instead: http://showcase.netins.net/web/flexia/new1.jpg http://showcase.netins.net/web/flexia/new2.jpg http://showcase.netins.net/web/flexia/new3.jpg http://showcase.netins.net/web/flexia/new4.jpg

PS: I just feel so unloved and unwanted and unpublished in a really stupid, hypocritical, philistine world...

Okay, so I was being a smart ass! You're still loved DGH.

In answer to your question, perhaps they only make heads in jars of celebrities people want to see again.

Or the heads are clones and the actual people still die. How else would they get George Washington.

And Doug, Have you looked into publishing lately? Cause all that '80 retro stuff is getting pretty big now.

Right after I deleted the New Wave midis off my site.... :\

As soon as I get enough new material together to make a decent proposal to submit to a comic book publisher. Until then I'm just a obscure New Wavey, small press relic from the '80s.

Wanna see a Cyclops babe that I drew in 1984 (I was way ahead of my time!)? http://showcase.netins.net/web/flexia/index1.html

An actual paean to the '80s new wave starts at http://showcase.netins.net/web/flexia/isod2nd2.html and http://showcase.netins.net/web/flexia/page2-1.html

BTW- DYI that Farnsworth said something like "You changed the result by measuring it!" which, IIRC, is a reference to Heisenberg's Uncertainty Theory.

PS: I'm a little bummed because a friend's wife flamed me by email. :(

In article ,

I *loved* this line! It made me laugh out loud!

Janet F. Caires-Lesgold [email] Speaker-to-Toys http://www.enteract.com/~jfc/ "I brought marshmallows. Occasionally, I'm callous and strange." -- Willow Rosenberg, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: "The Zeppo"

I took it as a reference to the Bush/Gore election results. Since Democrats were criticized for wanting to change the result of the election but they said they were only trying to count, or measure, all the votes. But, then, I think I'm the only certified college physics dropout on this newsgroup.

Um, not even. What Doug said...

I'd think the track announcer calling it a quantum finish would also support Doug's hypothesis.

Those MIDI's need to be put back. They ad such a great tone to the site. But they needed to be on the menu bar so that they didn't change every time you change pages.

Well yea it was a Quantum Finish. When you measure it you affect the outcome. Just like measuring an electron. That's why that line had me on the floor laughing!

And I'm a poor excuse for a Web Surfer I missed that part of your site entirely before. Now I gotta load Them onto my Palmtop to show everyone.

Hey there's a thought. Sell the issues in E-form straight from your page. It's a little High Concept, but in the electronic age you can be your own publisher and distributor.

Friend's wife. The day I have to say that I'll feel so old. That's why I stop talking to my friends after they get married.;)

The problem is that few people like midis and even less of them like New Wave midis. Randomly changing midis with every new page was part of the "charm". I just wish that there were more "hard alternative" midis from the '80s.

Did you see the entrance page that I had up early in the year? It welcomed you to to the 21st Century ("the most scientific atomic space age century of all!") by mixing up six random retro future images (flying cars, flying wings, solar sails, passenger rockets, moon colonists, and a future cityscape) and 11 random midis (a cheesy version of "Rhapsody in Blue", Aaron Copland's "Post Tonal Hoe-down", Dave "Baby" Cortez's "Happy Organ", The Car's "Let's Go", a Mos Isley sounding version of "Tequila", a "2001/Telestar" medley, a pseudo freebop meets chaos theory thingie composed by some PC program, and a few {I think} Arnold Schoenberg atonal tunes pretending to be jittery space-sick sci-fi music.)

Thanks! I need as much lip service in fandom as my little obscure self can get.

I'm toying with the idea. Does anybody know any thing about the Pat Pal art donation?

I don't too many friends, so I can't be that choosy. Besides, I'm 40 so I already feel old. :\ It does take a week's notice in advance to get them out of the house to go anywhere. It takes them a week of rescheduling, begging, and kissing up before they can get away.
