*sigh* I miss Phil Hartman...

Don't get me wrong, Billy West is doing a great job on Futurama. But when I saw Cap'n Zapp on the teaser for next week's show...*sigh*...Good ol' Phil...

I thought the same thing... We've come to expect Phil's voice in those characters.

He was a great actor. I liked him too.

I live two miles from where he died.

All I can say about that is it's sick city indeed that accepts a wife killing her husband because...wait for it...she was disappointed in her career.

Rich. Healthy. Two neat kids. Loving husband. Nice home. Great future. Not enough. Had to do coke. Had to hang out with dirt. Had to get stoned out of her mind and blow away the thing she felt she couldn't live up to, and herself when she sobered up.

The general consensus in LA is/was "Gee, what a shame. Oh well."

I'm telling you folks, LA is more toxic than a dioxin enema to some kinds of people. Usually women. I have no idea why. I've just seen it myself over and over.

Yeah, I thought the exact same thing. It really makes me wish that either A) Billy wasn't using such a Phil-esque voice, and B) the animators had drawn him slightly different. He looks too much like TMC right now. Oh, well.

Reminds me of when I found out that Raul Julia was originally going to play Bucho in "Desperado," but the role had to be recast when he died. How cool would that have been? Too bad...

I thought he was funny on SNL as the news anchor. His humor otherwise gets kinda stale after a bit.

Norm McDonald was great at stand-up, kinda wish he'd stick with it.

I miss Phil, too. Weird. Never met him, but I get a little tear everytime I think about him. Damn it all.
