Simpson's referance in Futurama?

One night that Futurama was on, I seem to remember a direct Simpsons referance. But do to my poor sleeping patterns I was 1/4 awake and the only thing I remember the next day is that Futurama had used a clever referance to the Simpsons. Does any one know in which episode and what the referance was? Or was I completely out of it?

Just to be picky, it wasn't an asteroid. It was a big ball of garbage from Earth that had been shot into space centuries earlier, and was now falling back to Earth. That's why there were Bart dolls on it.

What differentiates comets from asteroids is their orbit... The Garbage Ball was strictly speaking a comet that was on a collision course with Earth. I guess that one could call it a meteor once it enters the Earth's atmosphere, but never an asteroid... Those are small chunks of rock commonly orbiting a much larger planet or, as in the case of the belt between Mars and Jupiter, a star. Mar's moons are satellites that classify as asteroids due their size.

Actually, I think once it enters Earth's atmosphere, a meteor becomes a meteroite. That's why the meteor insurance I bought turned out to be no good.

No, what differentiates the two is composition. Asteroids are made from rock or metal whilst comets are made from ice which vaporises when near the sun (or star) producing a tail. The orbital path is irrelevant.

Unless you're kidding, I think you missed the point... HS = Homer Simpson, MB = Marge Bouvier. It would supposedly have been written before their marriage, so she wouldn't have been a simpson yet.. and just a random thought to go abit more OT. First, he asks a man to photograph him, and the man runs away with his camera. Then, as he's telling a policeman, the officer grabs his suitcase and runs off. Later, he's eating a foot-long, and as he looks up at a lighted sign reading, "CRIME UP 400 PERCENT", a pigeon steals his hot dog, and a man pickpockets his wallet as he reaches for the bird. Then, Woody Allen dumps trash on him from above. He throws a banana peel at a pimp (by accident), who chases him around until he finally falls into the sewer. "And that's when the CHUD's got me...."

Besides, "The Simpsons" was a TV show on "Futurama", and vice-versa. Except for that PBS episode when Bender was taking donations for the Fox network with various other Fox TV characters. That was one of the worst episodes ever, except for the Pink Floyd reference ("Hello? Is there anybody IN there...?).
