Futurama is back on free-to-air TV in Australia. It's only Season 3, but that's better than nothing for those without access to Fox8.

Channel 7 kicks off Season 3 with a double episode:

Thursday 5 December, 10:25pm The Honking / War is the H-Word

[episode descriptions below - mild spoilers] . . . . . . . . . . . A curse turns Bender into a were-car and tries to run over Fry. Bender and Fry volunteer for military duty to enjoy the benefits of the soldiers's discount. When war breaks out later that same day, Leela too decides to join the all-male ranks, under the guise of Lee Lemon, and creates quite a stir for her leader, Zapp Brannigan.

That's great news, but why start with season 3, when I'm pretty sure they haven't shown 2 yet?

Heh. Looks like I'm wrong. Looking at episode descriptions of the 2nd season I *have* seen most of them. However, the last 3 or 4 episodes of season 2 did not sound familiar, so either 7 didn't show them or I managed to miss the show for 4 weeks in a row.

And for that last episode, they *heavily* advertised That 70's Show first episode as premiering that night. Yet they played Futurama, which I managed to see five seconds of. Gotta love Channel 7, real professionals. I can't say what type of professionals without getting sued though.
