Anyone know how Futurama did in the Nielsen ratings last night yet?

Depends. The most important question about a TV show is, did it win its time slot? The 2nd is, did it win its key demographics (e.g. males 18-34). The 3rd is, does it maintain viewership from the preceding show? Futurama is a "saddle" show between the perennials The Simpsons and The X-Files, so it mainly has to keep the Simpsons viewers from bolting while they wait for the X-Files.

So far, the numbers for Futurama look to me like they'll keep it successful as a saddle show, but it probably won't break out into a mainstay that can be programmed at the top of the hour on a different night. This does leave it somewhat vulnerable if Fox has a schedule complication.

ahhh.... I see... so it probably isnt doing too bad then. However if either the Simpsons or X-Files go away it could be in trouble?
