Am I the Only one...

...who prefers Futurama to the Simpsons? Having been a sci-fi fan for many years, I really like Futurama, and though I am a big fan of the Simpsons, I seem to be the only person who likes Futurama more.

I will still preserve the Prisoner-esque episode of the Simpsons earlier this season as the exception that proved the rule. There are differences between the two series, apart from the obvious ones. I find Futurama has more natural comedy as it hasn't got the satire to fall back on. The Simpsons is a take on the life of an average family in Mid-America and with all the crap flying around in the world at the moment, they take a swipe a things now and again, but Futurama hasn't got this opportunity, so more jokes have to be added to make us chuckle....

Compared to the newer few seasons of the Simpsons, Futurama is my favorite. Can't beat the old Simpsons though. Oh, and there was one new one that was far superior than MANY episodes of either show. You know the one with the druggings and the secret island with Homer's gossip webpage? That was the greatest!

I can relate. But the difference is, I never cared for The Simpsons. And I never was a sci-fi fan, either.

Even though Futurama is in the sci-fi genre, it's still a great show that deserves to be watched! ;)
