Global warming episode?

I recall from the FOX website that one of the final Futurama episodes created concerned global warming. But I never saw it aired here on the East coast of the US. For the last 4 years I have NEVER missed a Sunday night original airing of Futurama. So, I know that if it had ever aired, then it must have been pre-empted.

Does anyone know anything about this episode about global warming?

I think "Futurama" is absolute genius -- a masterpiece! "Family Guy" is terrific, too. But, I would still put "Futurama" above "Family Guy". Oh, while I am at it: Most episodes of "South Park" are VERY intelligent and funny. The "The PJs" was genius. "Duckman" was brilliant, as was "The Critic". And "King of the Hill" is very intelligent, too, but I do like all the other ones better. And "The Simpsons" is like Bach -- the comedic foundation for all these adult cartoon. I do not wish to rank them all and say which is best. I am certainly disappointed that FG, Futurama, PJs, Duckman and The Critic ended prematurely.

However, part of me is relieved: too many shows to track and record! Now my only committment is to KOTH, Simpsons, and South Park.

When I get the opportunity (unfortunately, I am sharing), I will stop throwing away my money on cable tv I do not want my money to support (like rodeos, religious programming, and everything ELSE on FOX) and simply buy the DVDs of all these cartoons. I already feel burdened with buyer's remorse: all the money I HAVE spent on cable.

Regarding reality tv shows: I swear, I should videotape my bloody bowel movements and send that into FOX with a suggestion for their next reality tv show: "World's Most Disgusting Bowel Movements". That is what I really think of FOX's producers. I suppose I should give them credit for "The Simpsons", and I do give FOX credit for having some backbone showing UFO footage -- a number of years ago. But, that is like giving credit to the manure because some beautiful flowers happen to grow out of it because by dumb luck some seeds blew into it.

It was Season 5 Episode 1: Crimes of the Hot.

Al Gore guest starred, but thankfully the episode didn't turn into a liberal's paradise. In fact, there were some jokes on his own expense such as when he was introduced, "the inventor of the environment..."

It was a slightly above average episode. Not fantastic, but not horrible either.

I was speaking more about the general plot (it had been awhile since I had watched the entire episode). When you add in all the subtleties, then it was a pretty good episode - but the basic plot was not very inventive.

Also, I remember hoping Captain Planet would show up.
