Ring tones can be sent as SMS, but you need a phone to do it (I'm not aware of any software that will allow it)

If you download or receive a polyphonic ringtone (or midi file, for us old-schoolers) your phone *should* recognise it and allow you to save it.

I don't think it's possible to download a polyphonic ring tone (or midi) without wap or gprs. All phone companies (at least here in Norway), offer these services, some include it in the phone subscription, others as a payed extra service. Ask your phone company....

Hmm.. Couldn't you have used the other tracks on the midi for something other than drums?? (Sounds like a normal ringtone, but with drums in the background!)

The problem I didn't make this myself, I bought it from a ringtoneprovider and extracted it from my nokia 3510 with a datacable....
