Bad News: Announcement of Bush winning Florida cut the ending short, though how it was cut (Bender activating the bomb) made for a good imagination thing for East Coasters. BTW West Coaster should post what happened at the end after Bender said ass.

The idea of Zapp Brannigan being on a podium riding a horse refers to the statues of war generals. In these statues, the number of horse's feet on the ground refers to the general's status during a battle. If both front feet are on the ground (like on Zapp's pose), then the general survived the battle without damage. If one foot is off the ground, then the general got some damage during the battle. If both front feet are off the ground, then the general died during the battle.
