What night do you think Futurama should be on?

Since football season is dominating Sunday nights, I think FOX should show it on Tuesdays after..... *shudder*....... Family Guy. That might be for the best.

I personally enjoyed the 8:30 on Sunday slot. But oh well..

However, I would like a slot that stayed put for a month...

That's all I ask.

Opinions on Harsh Realm aside, I have to say I'm already disgusted with Dark Angel. I've only seen at least one trailer during every FOX showed I've watched in the past several months, and usually 2 or more. Anything this over-marketed is bound to suck eggs like a 500hp shopvac. Besides which, the near future wasteland thing is getting *seriously* old. A coupla Futuramas would hit the spot much better.

Damn straight. They put a great fuggin' huge billboard ad for that show up about a half-mile down the road from my place, but it mysteriously got knocked down and chucked into the marsh late last night. It's probably going to be one of those shows that in a rational universe would never make it to episode two. Unfortunately, though, they're certain to drag it out for at least a full season or two in a perverse attempt to justify the colossal advertising blitz. And James Cameron... I mean, for God's sake! Granted, Aliens was kickass, but Titanic should have landed the bastard in front of a crimes-against-humanity tribunal.

My money's on half a season, or whatever they've got in the can already. I don't see them pulling the rug out from under it like Harsh Realm. Gah! FG is a hilarious show. I'd like to see Futurama replace the Simpsons. Jesus, it's time to give it a rest...there's *enough* for cryin' out loud. They're still good, and I don't think the show will ever jump the shark, but good god...

Problem with that is along with Football, "Malcolm in the Middle" is one of Fox's highest rated shows, so I doubt they would want to mess around with it too much. Futurama doesn't get that high a ratings, so it is sort of the sacrificial lamb.

But Futurama and Malcolm in the Middle are made primarily for the American audience, which has a much larger population than the UK. Whatever they make off the UK is just gravy, but the American audience is their meat and potatoes. And with the American audience, Malcolm in the Middle is a big hit, and Futurama just gets so-so ratings. So as far as Fox is concerned, Malcolm in the Middle is the one they are going to give preferential treatment.

I'm not really sure what these two shows' rating in the UK has to do with Futurama getting bumped by NFL Football in the US though. Is Futurama getting pre-empted by soccer in the UK?

Sadly many in the USA don't especialy the FOX execs that were told it was the simpsons in the future then found out it's not.

With out the Daniel Stern voice over. They got nothing but old TMBG and lotsa lame plots.

That's the beauty of being on cable. But Broadcast is where it's at for market share.

Futurama isn't on cable here (well it is, but not currently). The transmissions I'm on about are on national TV.
