binaries Futurama NG?

Let me axe you something: considering that every episode has been captured in at least one way, don't you think a binaries NG would be good for Futurama episode trading? I, myself, have every episode of season 1 and 2 as ram and mpg (from CGEF!). Hell, howsabout alt.binaries multimedia.groening (if I spelled it correctly...) for Simpsons and Futurama?

Opinions?

(and yes, I'm a part-time troll, so I expect that someone has asked this recenlty, and yes I expect to be flamed, and no I don't care cause there ain't no FAQ yet...that I've seen....)

I tend to be timid when I'm in a newsgroup that doesn't normally include postings with "MF", "FF", "Hairy", or "Tom Byron" in the subjects... We'll skip "Scat" for now, less I frighten the straights ;-)

I normally use alt.brown-cow-moo, or any other random DEAD NG (like alt.fan.fabio) for trading, but it's such a waste of bandwidth to not make posts available for all...

I just emailed the same question to CGEF.. I'd love to see the episodes available for all

ps: if you have season three episode 1 as mpg: --> alt.brown-cow-moo ;-)

There's no such thing as having to be *approved* to newgroup a alt* newsgroup. You send the control message and ask your provider to carry it. It's that simple. btw-that group *did* get created, but why the proponent bothered with discussing it at alt.config, I'll never understand. Just the fact that he has only posted about it once here in this newsgroup shows that he doesn't understand that promotion=propagation-which means servers adding it-is more important than going to alt.config.
