When did Nibbler come out as being able to speak and be intelligent to Leela?

Bender Big Score...continued in Bender's Game. They explained this away with Nibbler telling Fry - when he asked the same thing - he didn't have the chance to erase their memories.

What I'm wondering is: Are they going to remember to have the sun rise in the west for the rest of the series?

That's a good question. Leels referred to Nibbler's poop as "volitile dark matter", but I thought dark matter had been rendered inert after Bender's Game, and that the ship was now running on whale oil. Or perhaps I misunderstood what became of dark matter at the end of Bender's Game.
