Just like many good Futurama fans, I'm trying to get 'em all off the net.
But many episodes have different numbering. Some say "The Honking" was the first episode of Season 3. Others say it's "Amazon Women in the Mood". Where can I find an official list?
Also, how are the titles given? I never see them in the episodes themselves...
And finally, the one in which Bender becomes a folk singer. I've seen it with two titles: "Bendin' in the Wind", and "The Times, they are a Bendin'" Which one's right?
My attached list (it's a single HTML-file and NO binary!) isn't offfcial, yet it has all the info you're looking for. I'm listing

so you can translate between the FOX and Anivcd codes. It's ordered by FOX episode code since this is the way they originally were supposed to be aired and how the storyline develops. Entries in italics denote upcoming stuff.

Futuramaoutlet.com has it by air date, but they are in the process of moving right now. And the only other one I found right now was at http://www.farnsworthlabs.com/epguide.htm But it's in production order not air date. And "The Honking" (2ACV18) was the first episode aired in the season starting in Fall 2000. Preceding "War is the H-Word" (2ACV17). "Amazon Women in the Mood" (3ACV01) was the first episode of the 3rd Production Run. and aired about 3 months after "The Honking"
They are in the credits somewhere I believe. Along with the Production number. Just like on "the Simpsons". Also the names are procured through interviews and such with the writers.
I believe "Bendin' in the Wind" is the official one with "The Times they are a Bendin'" being the older working title that was reported a long time ago.
The numbers but not the episode names are in the credits. The names may come from the writers or producers but the final names come through FOX publicity. When you look up the episodes on any decent wired TV listings index you'll see the titles.

Most people number the episodes by air date - season 1 episode 1 is s01e01 .... Sometime you see the Fox production code. E.g., 3ACV01. The third production run is not necessarily shown in the third season or in any order... 3ACV01, the first episode in the third production run, is "Amazon Women in the Mood". It was 5th episode aired in season 3. The Honking was s03e01, but was production 2ACV18.

Also, production numbers preserve any multi-episode story arcs. For example, this season ends with 'Anthology of Interest II'. One of the segments featured Hermes' son Dwight, who had been introduced in 'The Route of All Evil'. But guess what, that episode will not be shown this season! I hope that the AoI II segment does not rely on anything shown in the first Dwight episode. Anyways, the air date number of AoI II will be lower than 'The Route of All Evil', confusing anybody watching it for the first time.
I agree that production number would be more practical. But do a search on an OpenNap server, or with Gnutella, using Futurama and most will be named in sNNeXX format ... same with the downloads at most FTP sites I have seen for Futurama...
