That Bender threw on the fire. I read "History of the Human Race" or whatever, but the other two book titles flamed up too fast. And one of them was in alien code. :)

Still, maybe I have a certain sense of self entitlement having moderated for the likes of MSFT in the past, but the thought of some kid whose only been on the Internet a fraction of the time I have telling me what I can and cannot say doesn't sit well with me. I did make an exception to the rule once some months back and signed up for a web forum that dealt with keeping chickens as pets. The most popular community of it's kind. Withing one week some ego driven mod slammed me for suggesting the death of a particular raccoon - the one who killed some of my chicks - was cause for celebration. My post was removed and a "warning was put on my record."

I was like, "excuse the fuck out of me? You have folks going on all the time about the happiness they feel when vindicating their lost loved chickies, and you're ban hammering me? What gives?"

Turns out it was a seniiority thing...and that's the exact problem those stupid web groups present. If one isn't part of the "good old boys" clique, then don't even bother saying a damned thing.

Put a warning on my record. Whatever. I told that wet behind the ear bitch to take her warning and my record and shove them up her crawl...and that with an attitude like hers, she would be eaten alive on usenet...provided one was in the mood for dead fish.

Freedome of speech daddy-o, that's what I fought for behalf of this country...and I be damned if I'm letting some admin slam happy nerd deny me of that right.
