Family Guy on Sunday

Am I the only Canadian that is really starting to get ticked off at "Family Guy"? Or am I just too picky? I mean, "Canada sucks" isn't something to be said on a primetime show. Anyone else agree?

not only that, it's just incredibly not funny. the drawing looks like it's done in like 10 seconds, and it's just a little baby saying big words and it's hardly funny. It's like Simpsons-wannabe by doing all the scapegoating and stuff but it's not funny at all.

I'm Canadian and I thought it was funny. Besides what are you complaining about... they made fun of every other natianality and there was nothing really derogatory said about Americans. I mean come on. Look at how much comedians in the rest of the world makes fun of American Culture They talk about American Stupidity and American ignorance and American Couch Potatoes and American Laziness. That's a stereotype if I've ever heard one. And the should/shouldn't be said on Prime time TV part... well I think the "Cum again?" line was a little more risque. Just my $0.02

Evidently you guys care. I was in Canada recently for a few weeks and more than half the Tv shows were American TV shows Why is that? I don't see any Canadian TV shows here in the USA. There aren't very many Canadian TV shows. Most are comedy-troupe like things (Improv, satire, etc) - I dunno if there even is a Canadian sitcom.

To be serious for a sec. SCTV was one of, if not the funniest shows on TV. It's a shame no one shows re-runs of it.

It's amazing to me that in every single newsgroup I've been in (and that's a lot) every so often there is a thread that turns into Canada VS the US. Give it up people. Both countries are different, both countries have contributed greatly towards society on a whole.

Regarding the original post way back when, I take pride in being Canadian, and being different. Turtle25, have you ever watched Royal Canadian Air Farce?? We also make cracks about Americans. I love it when South Park and other shows mentions Canada. That Celine Dion/Saddam Hussein/Terrence and Philip episode of SP was HILARIOUS!

Unfortunately it's usually Americans who forget that Canada even exists. If a company changes something important for Canadians, they don't tell anyone. Some companies don't tell you that Canadians aren't allowed until you find the 5-space area marked "ZIP CODE" with no Postal equivalent...

I watched Air Farce... extremely funny. Anyway, webrunner was right about that ZIP code thing... I tried to enter into a Dilbert TV contest, but I didn't find out it was just for Americans until the "State" option menu.

Well, you certainly live up to that. Your comment is both simple and stupid. And if the Founding Fathers were to paddle back as a result of a grim vision of things to come, it would be because of the simple and stupid nature of America today. In addition to how it infected the rest of the world.(not that the rest of the world, especially Europe and Canada hasn't secretly let itself become infected and embraced all the stupidity)

I don't like your comment. So I can either a. change it, or b. go somewhere else. Well, in this case, I'll go somewhere else, I can't change it, unfortunately. But in the case of a country, you know how things get changed? By voices of dissent as well as action. Just voices, that's all, can exact change. That counts criticism, complaints, and just plain antisocial comments and behavior. Just to let you know.
