Review: B+. When I first saw the ads for it, I was a little bit worried that the episode would be a disappointment like E-I-E-I-Annoyed Grunt. However, the writers prevented it from being disappointing thanks to the beach scenes, the crew doing their version of Single White Lawyer, and the alien's critique of the episode.

DYN's

in 3000, a donut shop will be considered a monument? Fry's father worked at McDonald's? a schoolbus is part of the fleet of ships recruited to fight the aliens? a tire coming out of the blown up ship? when President McNeal was in the sack, a judge kicked the sack? the blantant ad for Ally McBeallle at the end of Act Two? the Second Coming of Christ won't happen until 2443 (Screw you, Weekly World News)?

Independence Day -The alien ship blowing up the White House

Ally McBealle -Single White Lawyer

Star Wars -The attack on the alien ship/Hubble Telescope

Television signals from Earth are actually travelling across the universe as we speak. In fact, it is possible for aliens to be watching old TV shows for the very first time. However, their response to our programs, as well as contact with them, will take a while to reach back to Earth, as television waves go the same to and from Earth.

why can't people just write d'oh? yeah i know that's how d'oh appears on the script...

actually that was cute-as-my-balloon-knot gary coleman from diffrent strokes.

Sweepings Hey! Wanna know something? It's a fact! If your signature is your name, but with a middle name that changes with every post then you're not creative or original. Sorry, but it's true. It's a fact! Sweep "bland and unfunny" ings

The real title is funnier. It's not just a pun, but a contrast between how sounds are written on a script versus how they're pronounced.

In article ,

That's a particular one in L.A., IINM...

That's the Magic School Bus, of the children's book and PBS series.

VERY funny!

The guy looked like Clarence Thomas to me!

It's spelled McBeal.

Uh, no... That's "Diff'rent Strokes", specifically Gary Coleman's catchphrase.

HTH!

Upon further investigation, it would appear that these 'big donut' shops appear all over Southern California:
