I will kill Matt Groening if I ever see Disco Stu in Futurama. Well, maybe I'll just give him a savage beating...

I didn't want to see Leonard Nimoy, Pamela Anderson, Dick Clark, and Ron Popeil on Futurama either, but I got over it... Their appearances were brief, amusing, and worked within the context of the show. Therefore I won't name any specific people I wouldn't want to see on the show... just about anybody would be okay with me, as long as it's well written.
I do think that guest stars should be kept to a minimum though, to keep the focus on the characters. I'd like to see some guest stars providing character voices, though, rather than just playing themselves in a jar.
...anyway, what guest stars *DO* you want to see?

I'd like to see Jar Jar in jar.
Actually it's more fun to just sit here and say "Jar Jar in jar" quietly to myself in the dark. I have to go now.

Speaking of that, I wanna see Mark Hammill's head in a jar.

Damn. Think we can get Matt to change his mind. Jar Jar and Bender, what a team.
How about Xena: Warrior Princesss?
Oh, that's right, we already have her, Matt Groening says he based Leela on Xena.
A "cross between Emma Peel and Xena," to be exact. I've never seen either of those shows, so I wouldn't really know--how close is she to these characteres?

Leela's competent, yes, and very task-oriented, so I'd say close enough that saying she's got traits in common is true.

Basically, don't cast anyone as a guest star whose appearance will do absolutely nothing for the plot (like many recent Simpsons episodes have done). If they only appear for a brief cameo, at least make the scene memorable (like I can't remember who the hell the guest star was during "The Old Man and the C Student.")
In article ,
Bret, the Hitman, Hart, IIRC. And I'd say the memorableness of the scene depends on how much you like Pro Wrestling.
No, Bret Hart appeared in "The Old Man and the Lisa" (an episode with a similar title, which was probably the reason for your confusion). Jack LaLanne guest starred in "The Old Man and the C Student" (and provided a performance that wasn't memorable at all; it took me a while to remember that he was even in the episode).

Probably. Couldn't be senilty. No way.
So who's Jack Lalanne(both in the episode and in the real world?). I'm drawing a blank on the episode for that matter.
I don't know much about him, aside from the fact that he keeps his body in good shape. He pulled a boat along by a rope on at least one occasion, and this was what he tried to do in the episode.
After Bart costs Springfield the Olympics, he is forced to do community service at Springfield Retirement Castle, where he tries to make the old folks' lives more exciting. Meanwhile, Homer tries to sell springs.
In article ,
He was a fitness expert in the 50s and 60s, not unlike Richard Simmons today - had a popular TV show and everything. This was before anybody was doing much bodybuilding for fun, and he'd do things like pulling boats to show off. He's getting pretty old, but is still in great shape, as I recall!
Until fairly recently, his birthday stunt was to swim San Francisco Bay, pulling a number of boats equal to his age. (ie. 65 boats on his 65th...)
Isn't Jack LaLanne the man with the Juice Tiger or some such infomercial about how to stay healthy with fruit juice, and the only thing that can provide the right juice is his Juice Tiger. I remember Jim Carrey doing a skit with David Allen Grier on "In Living Color" with the Juice Weasel. Jim entered pulling an RV with his teeth.

Jack Lalanne as I recall (AIR?), had one of the first exercise shows on TV back in the black and white days, which lived on forever (or so it seemed) in syndication. I seem to recall waiting for it to end so I could see Captain Kangaroo as a child...

Grrr. Less memorable than I thought; I confused this episode with "Monty Can't Buy Me Love." And of course, my post stating the contrary has already gone out...

Right guy, wrong episode. Hart appeared in the similarly-titled "The Old Man and the Lisa (4F17)." The guest star in "... C Student" was Michael McKean, as the rival billionaire, I presume.
