I few things.

First:

DYN?

The lobsters in the crowd of the stadium were wearing foam "We're #1!" claw-covers.

This show was incredibly entertaining, even throwaway lines like when Zoidberg went amuck at the gym and a woman cried out "Is there a doctor in the house?" and Zoidberg answered "Yes, I'm a doctor!" Stupid funny, I know, but it made me laugh out loud.

There is *so* much stuff going on at once during Futurama that it makes my head spin, as a Sci-Fi fan, all the references fly by faster than you can place them and it truly gets better with every new episode.

I've just finished reading about three-hundred posts at alt.tv.simpsons and I'm just about to have a heart attack from the high blood pressure it gave me, reading everyone's profound opinion about what's wrong with the show, it's such a breath of fresh air to come to alt.tv.futurama and read pleasant non-confrontational posts from people that tune-in a show they actually watch for enjoyment. I'm sure in due time it will all change, but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

At that very moment, a young intern at City Hospital was making an important discovery. The mysterious patient in Room 213 had finally awakened. She moaned softly.

Yeah, I can't read that newsgroup much. A lot of people there are real pesamists. And anyone that posts a positive comment is shot down with tons of negative replies. So sad that they can't see the good in the show and have to act like CBG.

I don't want to hurt you, I just want to make you kosher.

I always thought DYN's referred to less-than-obvious bits. If you didn't notice the foam claws, you were watching a different channel.

Overestimating the audience, that could be dangerous.

DaveDean Humphries

Point taken.

Still, perhaps there should be different classifications of DYN.

This gag was actually first done at the Blernsball game in 1ACV05. I guess they thought it was good enough to bring back for whatever reason.

Are the complaining futurama is bad or simpsons?

Last nights Futurama was just a tad too fast paced for me at the beginning, jumping from cut to cut. Over all, another classy Futurama Episode. So many humorus bits that I couldn't catch them all... That beer device in the beginning... Actually now that I think of it, it wouldn't be that difficult to make... Not for mass distrobution, but for my own personal bouts of laziness... Maybe speech recognition chip, with an RFI signal to check if someone is on the chair...

As for simpsons, I've been wanting to get a horse for a while. But haven't decided on a name. Now I'm calling it Furious D. Heh. Simpsons was showing a general downwards trend, but I liked last nights episode. I found it odd that Lisa wasn't like into the horse at all.

So either way, those people are wrong. Lets start a Groening animated show cross post flame war... Or lets not and said we did... Or better yet, lets not say we did. In fact, lets hide our shame that we're wasting our time on usenet.

Oh, the Simpsons, of course.

Ah, but that's exactly what I loved about this episode. For a person as myself whose mind is awash and churning nonstop, this sort of action displaces the sturm and is quite comforting.

Yes, that was strange. It used to be that you could shut Lisa up by bringing up a pony. Hey, maybe a.t.s. is right, the show isn't true to itself anymore! KILL IT!!!

Woah! That's even busier than last night's episode. But such an action would add hundreds of posts a day over here-like you said, let's not and say we did.

Hmmmm. This is quite true.

Quite true, indeed.

I once had a life.

A life is a terrible thing to waste.

As much as I like the Dickensian reference, I can't help but miss the passage with the intern feeling up the coma patient. Now THAT's good literature!

Hmm, a Fry-Leela-Amy three-way. . . . .

Any takers? Actually we could do a "snuh"-style thread on it. . . .

Okay.

Fry sits down at a computer and begins to type a letter to Bob Guccione XXXII, the editor of _Penthouse_3000_:

"Dear Penthouse: I thought this would never happen to me. I am a delivery boy for a small interstellar delivery company based in New New York. Anyway, I was sitting around the rec room one day watching TV when two of my co-workers walked in. I'll call them, uh, Lisa and Tammy. Lisa is a purple-haired, one-eyed alien with full, luscious lips and a nice rack. Tammy is a petite Asian with spiky black hair, who wears a lot of bare-midriff shirts. They're both knockouts. Anyway, the three of us watched TV for a while, and then Lisa started talking about how sexual attitudes in the 31st century are so much more relaxed than way back in the 20th century. . . .

grosseDeacon

Then we all ripped off our clothes and had sex on the couch.

No, wait, that gives away the ending. Um, scratch that.

Now, my friend, er.., Lisa, told me that once you go cylcops you'll never go back to one-eyed bops. She said that having only one-eye wasn't the only thing different about her. Not to be outdown my friend, errr..., Tammy, said that she had been biomedically genetically reengineered to give extreme sexual pleasure to her partner. Well, Mr. Guccione XXXII, I have had never seen two woman get as jealous of each others as these two vixenous scamps started becoming, why, these frisky fillies started unveiling articles of clothing faster than a fat skin tube playing a blernsball game on a hot summer day. Next thing I know they said they wanted me to take them both to the closest sexatorium in the area.......

I said to Lisa, "What about condoms? You know, for . . . protection?" And she said, "They cured all STD's back in the 21st century!" And I said, "Woo-hoo! Let the games begin!" So, after a short stop at the store for a jar of honey, a bottle of chocolate sauce, and a "Twister" mat, we . . . .

..first made a stop at the recombinant DNA lab so I could get my puny twentieth century member an upgrade.....

The intern frowned. "Stampede!" the foreman shouted, and forty thousand head of cattle thundered down on the tiny camp.

To start, let me tell you, at the recombinant DNA lab they spliced-in genes from some guy by the name of Ned Flanders, they said he was hung like a horse and after his wife died, he had a long and glorious career in the pornographic film industry. Now I knew Tammy intimately, having had my head transplanted on her body after a slight driving accident-I knew I shouldn't have let someone for claws for hands behind the wheel of a space car! As soon as we walked into the sexatorium Tammy stripped down to her birthday suit, Lisa was so upset at being upstaged that she gave me an exhibition of a Vulcan dance that she said she had learned from some nutty green alien babe named Marta from Elba II. Next thing Lisa said that she wanted all of us to play a game that she learned from some gamesters from Triskelion......

Um, not to bust up the narrative, but I don't know that Fry would care to play any Triskelion games.

yeah that webpage was so graphic and explicit that your reaction is necessary.

Sweepings I always *hated* "Peanuts", and was glad to hear it was going. Now I open the paper and see "Classic Peanuts". Wasn't half a goddamn CENTURY enough for people?

It aint that, they besmearched the holy name of TOS.

But was the lack of graphic content upseting?

Oh, you're right, that didn't make any sense at all.

I forgot the *t* in *upsetting*, now it should make some sense.
