I know a lot of you missed the very end of Futurama last night, and usually football is to blame, though not so much this time. Well I live in the Denver Area, where Futurama is on at 6. The special announcement last night came at about 5:25 our time, right after the two minute warning of the Broncos - Seahawks game! I was watching the game because when it comes to football, I do love to watch the Broncos. I'd rather watch Futurama, but in Denverr we've been lucky not to get pre-empted by anything so far this season.
Anyway, it was a VERY close game, and the announcement from Florida came on in the last few minutes, riht as the tnsion was about to peak! I thought that was pretty funny. Of course, the channel I was watching (I think it was NBC) just did the two screens thing where the game was on one small screen in one corner and the announcement was on a larger screen in the other corner with a nice soft background behind them. So football fans had to quint to see what was happening, and there was no sound (the sund was from the announcement).
I just thought that was fair, seeing as so many Futurama fans get pushed around by football pre-emption. It's like in Revenge of the Nerds when the dumb football players take over us, the nerds' (no offense) home. I think we need to put spycams in the Pi Delta Pi house so we can watch those chicks shower, eh? That'll show those lousy Alpha Betas!
