First off, there will be no review. Second, this is not the actual title, as I forgot the real title.

the ribbon-cutting scissors resemble a pair that is used at elementary schools? alien races that appeared in past episodes are part of DOOP? Leela, unlike the rest of the crew, isn't affected by the gravity on the planet with the high gravity? Leela is 25 years old (though how old she is in Earth years is still unknown)?

Star Wars -Hologram game of chess
Midnight Cowboy -The bit where Zapp and Kiff roam the streets of New York, complete with the song "Everybody's Talking".
William Shatner -Zapp wearing a girdle is similar to the rumors that the Star Trek star wears a girdle.
Yes she was, just as she stepped off the gangway she flinched a bit and went 'ugh', then recovered, and then Kip fell flat. I presumed it meant she was in shape, as opposed to the other slackards (not including Kip here, he's just a weak little nice smart green guy).
My God, don't forget 'The Highlander'.... Oh, no, wait. That was the Simpsons, with the 'bike-sword' fight on the stairs.
Ewwwww. Can't believe I watched that (Simpsons). I should know better. It went into the toilet a few years ago. On that note, this is the first Futurama episode that falls close to my "don't really like" threshold. Just too much stupid stuff. I know that's a wierd statement, but seriously, I like my sci-fi to have some plausability built into the storylines and character-plots, as opposed to utterly dripping with idiocy and implausability.
I would like to have seen Kip stay with the crew, (and not be the bore that he is, didn't like that character development, nor the spinelessness, although the latter is in character with and explains why he is/was with Zap for so long).
I'd also like to see Zap killed off in a deserving, quick fashion. Can't believe they're using Zap as much as they have. Yuk.

Right, it's only funny when I do it, but that's because a) I invented it, or b) the "middle name" quote is relevant and acts as a kicker to the post, or c) we like foolishly consistent hobgoblins with small minds.
In the presence of other members of the ill reputed rec.humor.oracle.d, Ben used a less than adequate newsreader MT-NewsWatcher 2.4.4 to describe Re: Mutiny on the Planet Express Ship Capsule Submission
I can't say I was looking at the scissors to see how the blades were drawn, but I don't believe they were intentionally left-handed.
Left-handed safety scissors had green rubber coating the handles and the word "LEFTY" engraved on the blades; the red rubber was for the standard right-handed models. TWIAVBP, but I thought the color scheme was standard throughout the USA, at least.
If the blades were drawn to be left-handed, I'd chalk it up as one o' them "continuity errors".
i didn't think it had anything to do with the blades. when zapp tries to confiscate the scissors from the crew, you can see that little knob-thing on the handles. i fully admit that i could be wrong on what makes scissors righty and lefty, but there was something on the handles.

Lesson time! If you grab a pair of righty scissors and look down on it, the blade attached to your thumb will be on the left. As you open and close the scissors, your thumb also applies some pressure that pulls the blade in towards the other blade. Switch hands, and your left thumb will push the blades apart, resulting in sloppy, torn construction paper. Lefty scissors are a mirror image of righty scissors, where the thumb-blade is on the right.
Scissors for grown-ups are often made well enough, with sharp enough blades and with a tight enough screw keeping the blades together, that thumb pressure is negligible and so it doesn't matter which hand you hold them in. Still, most still have their blades to favor right-handed folks.
I guess is someone has Sunday's episode on tape, you can look to see
how the scissors look:
,---. ,---.
/ ,-. \ / ,-. \
\ `-' `-----. \ `-',-`=====.
>--. () ) >--' () )
/ ,-.`-======' / ,-. ,-----'
\ `-' / Lefty \ `-' / Righty
`---' `---'
Ok, that was fun, but I think I'll be stopping now.
They were *definitely* right-handed safety scissors. Interestingly enough, I happened to have a pair of Fiskars in my hand at the exact moment that scene appeared. (Never mind why I was holding scissors.)
