It says in an episode guide I read the episode was "cancelled" for being too violent... so was it actually made but never shown? Or never even made? And if it was made is it available to be seen anywhere??

It was pulled like 1 or 2 weeks before being aired. It was shown at the 2001 Comic-Con in SoCal the one and only time it's been shown.

I've heard that they're not because they thought it was too controversial. I don't think it's that bad. The episode seems more against guns in the home than anything else. They make fun of anti-gun control lobbyists and the NRA. Charleton Heston refused to guest star. ;-) It's an okay episode for season nine.
