Well that was quick for renewals Fox just picked up Futurama for 22 more episodes next season. Also it looks like Family Guy will be renewed next week.
Of course in a few weeks with the new Buffy episode this should make for an interesting ratings night.
I think I speak for everyone saying: WOOHOO!!!! (Don't care about Family Guy though) This should stop alt.congif'ers from being so pissed off at this group now at least, maybe AOL will even get it (or do they have it already?)
I'm just not impressed with Futurama. I think its garbage but Fox will keep it around because they don't want to tick off the Simpsons creator.

That some people are going to like more obvious and simple humor is fine, but if they state a preference, I think they should be prepared to be called on it.

Well, they've already ticked him off by trying to impose a lot of changes and moving it to Tuesdays when Groening didn't comply. Somebody might be able to provide the URL to the relevant article...point is, I don't think Fox is bending over backwards to be politic.

Well, I should hope it was quick! Because of the lead time required to have new episodes ready by the fall, they'd have to know RIGHT NOW if they need to start production again. Unless they air the shows live, which hopefully won't put too much strain on the animators' wrists.

Well, I don't have cable, and the WB affiliate in my area is one of those channels that doesn't come in very well (if at all), so I'll stick with "Futurama" for now. And it that's a rerun, I'll head back over to "NewsRadio" and drool over Maura Tierney. Mmmm... Maura...
