MUCHA BETTER!!!! Not that the premier didn't have its share of laughs, but I think I saw a definite improvement now that they don't have to establish the whole.... thingy..... with the show.... and the future.... n'glaven! Seriously, despite a few jokes that just didn't seem to go anywhere, it was an enjoyable episode. The professor's commercial was a riot... as was Fry's "physical." Bender's bit about blackjack and hookers was great at first, but the second time was a bit much...
Oh yeah, the space alligators were HILARIOUS!!!! There were about a dozen of us watching it, and there was this sort of simultaneous "What the hell?!?" from the whole crowd... THIS is why I love Matt Groening!!!
This show DEFINITELY has promise... I just kinda hope they keep the mushy stuff to a dull whine (am I the only one that can only picture Peg Bundy when Leela and Fry get all sentimental? YUCK!!!!!!!)
So, for any and both people that might care, I give it a B+++ (it would have gotten an A, but Bender's song and dance routine was just too stupid)
