It figures. It just FIGURES.

There was no football airing in my area (Cleveland, OH - off-week for the Brownies), so I was thrilled that I actually might get to see the season opener.

So, what happens? A freak thunderstorm blows through at 5:30 pm, pushing tornadoes and hail throughout the area. You guessed it. My cable went out at 6 p.m. and it's STILL out. If it's not FOX pulling a pre-empt, it's Mother Nature herself denying me of my favorite show.

And you just KNOW that - next week - the football game will be back on and will pre-empt it again. I can't win for losing!

Even if I had hurriedly unhooked the cable and threw up an ariel on the off-chance I'd be able to pick it up antenna-wise, there were still 5 or 6 tornadoes crushing the state. Catching the season premiere on a small B&W portable under the basement stairs was not too high a priority. ;)

Although, now that the freak November weather is over, I'll never see the show un-preempted again. Crap-noodles.
