Hello...
A couple of tiny, and presumably uninteresting things I spotted:
* The momentary glimpse of 'All My Circuits' at the beginning looks remarkably similar to its very first appearance - with Calculon and Monique embracing in front of some foliage. Could it be a repeat? I suppose with 40000 channels, things must get repeated now and then.
* Futurama was rated '14 DLSV'. Are there any more categories to fill? Is this really suitable for a 7:00pm timeslot? Perhaps if everyone writes in to complain, maybe it could be moved slighly later? :-) Time to call Mary Whitehouse, methinks. Bender would appreciate a post-watershed timeslot, too.
* Zoidberg's headband didn't pop off when his frill appeared. That frill must be sharp - and his head sweaty. (Eww...)
* The bloke at the punchbag looks surprisingly like one of Mom's sons - he's just as useless at fighting back as ever, even against inanimate objects.
* Did anyone else find the seagulls at the end reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds'? I think it was the seagull tugging at Fry's finger.
Anti-goof: I think someone commented on the presence of seagulls on an alien planet. Well, the alien crustaceans have already affected Earth's ecosphere, wiping out the anchovy, so perhaps they were introduced on their planet by accident/on purpose. Kind of like rabbits in Australia, along with countless other cases here on Earth back in the Stupid Ages...
Hmmm... The semi-obligatory review. I liked it. It wasn't my favourite, but it was still pretty good (some great lines for Bender, even if he wasn't a main character). Some nice science fiction too - alien, um, reproductive strategies might take a lot of getting used to.
My only real complaint was that it was an excellent parody of Star Trek - which I loathe with a venegance. I think I'm going to have to start watching it, just to be able to understand the references in Futurama. :-)
