Nielsen Rankings: 4-6-1999

Well, the move to Tuesdays brings bad news and good news. The bad news is the show's rating and share declined (the rating fell from 9.7 to 7.4, the share from 16 to 12). The good news is Futurama was the strongest show of the night for Fox, improving on its lead-in from "King of the Hill."

The show came in fourth place in the timeslot, but it was a close race:

8.9/14 JAG (CBS) 7.9/12 Third Rock From The Sun (NBC) 7.7/12 The Hughleys (ABC) 7.4/12 Futurama (Fox) 3.7/6 Buffy the Vampire Slayer (WB) 2.2/3 Family Rules (UPN)

Overall, Fox came in fourth for the night.

"Futurama" stars a shapely one-eyed alien female.

"JAG" has fighter jets! And explosions! And character actors talking like they were Michael Madsen.

"Futurama" has robots shitting bricks! And belching fire!

Sheesh...you'd think the proper viewing selection would be obvious.
