Is Fry his fathers father or his mothers father?

In Roswell that Ends Well Fry remarks "Hang in their dad!" to the groin of the guy he believes to be his grandfather, however his mother has the same colour hair as him, it would be a bit of a coincedance for that exact shade of orange to exist on both sides of the family. Any thoughts on this?

Maybe that's the whole problem with the Delta Wave and all that. Maybe with his "past nastification", he managed to pollute his genes from both sides of the family. I mean, after all, his mother was no prize in the brains department.

And actually, Enis had the same hair too. Hmm. That is a puzzlement. -Chris

Fry didn't have any children in his time frame of the 20th Century. It said as much last night in the First Episode broadcast on SWIMTV.

The old professor is his nephew removed by several generations over 1000 yrs.
