Well, I just got back from the San Diego Comic Con with some Futurama news. Bongo Comics was handing out Planet Express buttons,( no, I don't have any extras), and sometime next year they'll be doing a Futurama comic book. The real highlight was the Futurama-o-rama panel, where, in addition to answering questions and talking about the show, the screened the season two premier, and it is HILARIOUS!! I won't give too much away, but it's a love story on the (space) Titanic. I could tell they're working on a "Simpsons-like" cast of characters, as we see the return of Zap and Kiff? (I think that's the sidekick's name), someone who appears to be the landlady form Fry and Bender's apartment, and parents, spouses of some of the cast. The writers mentioned that during season two, all or most of the secondary characters will have episodes devoted to them, and we'll see Doctor Zoidberg's home planet.They also said Bender will get in a fight with Nibbler, and one of them will end up being flushed down a toilet. They did not say which one. It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait until we get some new Futurama stuff. Oh yeah, Matt wants to hold of on the merchandise at first, but right now, there are tee-shirts on the Fox website (I guess, I haven't looked yet), Bongo was selling a Futurama calendar, and they said there's a nice, limited-edition-type print coming out soon.
