OT: Simpsons Treehouse of Horror on 11/2

The scheduling idiots at Fox continue to air The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror a few days AFTER Halloween.

It was the Simpsons Halloween Special for several years before the episode where Bart and Lisa are reading ghost stories to each other in the treehouse, which is where the Treehouse of Horror name came from.

It's always been Treehouse of Horror...ever since the first one in season 2....

I think the confusion is that while the title has always been Treehouse of Horror [#, except I], it was written on the screen as The Simpsons' Halloween Special [#, also except I] - for DABF19, the screen read "Treehouse of Horror 13" (not XIII, possibly so the more slow-witted viewers could grasp the signficance), and promos on Fox even said treehouse instead.

The World Series itself isn't the problem; it's the two rounds of playoffs they've added before the Series that makes it last until the end of October. The regular season ended in September this year, which itself is a minor miracle.
