I suppose I have a few things to say. So I'll say them, why not?

Opening theme I got home late Sunday and had to download the episode from the 'internet VCR' to see the first few minutes. At first I thought this was some kind of fan remix the poster slapped on, but I saw it on two posts. It was kind of a shock at first, but it's cool that they are having fun with it and trying new things. I wonder if there is a long version.

Big Foot Film I saw an episode of 'In search of' a while back, and realized Big Foot research hasn't progressed much since the 70's. Apparently we'll still have to wait another 1000 years, unless a believer hits the lottery.

TOP QUALITY EXERCYCLE FOR SALE We find out why 'top quality' can't be put in bold type. Apparently discount satellite advertising is available in the future.

Naked camping Amy and Leela sleep naked, TOGETHER! This is the good side of their total lack of modesty.

Bender the fly zapper My neighbors are worse because they keep the stupid thing going all night. It's way annoying, but come Fall I probably won't be able to fall asleep with out hearing 'ZAP! ZAP! ZAAAAP!'

Scary woodland sounds It sounded like an Owl hooting to me. Is that supposed to scare Bender? I thought future cities were infested with spotted owls.

Benders Woooooo! Funniest part of the show. I never know how to spell sounds though, did I get 'Wooooooo' right? I need to read more comics.

Fry waking up Either he automatically brushes his teeth first thing when waking up, or he wanted to have fresh breath when he meets big foot.

Frys abduction It shows how integrated he is that a flying saucer suddenly appearing in the middle of the night doesn't phase him in the slightest. But no matter what century you're in, it's a bad idea to take a ride from a stranger if 'prob' appears anywhere on their vehicle.

Permits Are aliens just too lazy or cheep to pick up a human hunting permit at local gas station?

Leela the surly drunk Apparently the first thing Leela does when she wakes up is grab a beer. Could explain why she is ready to punch anyone out at the drop of a hat.

Thing on Leelas arm Has a face laser now. It didn't work vary well, Frys nose came off again rather easy. Maybe Leela was too drunk to use it correctly

Leela sings Didn't sing like a drunk, but sense of song choice is impaired.

The Bazaar There were a few interesting things here. Kiffs people roasting a VW Bug, will they eat it? Gene Shallot dolls, shows how depraved the market is. I'll mention the Joe Camel appearance, but I really didn't find it interesting.

Dehorning tool This is the best tool since the kill-a-ma-jig. I loved how it kept getting nastier.

The softer side of Lrrr I'm not talking about the poetry or his nursing tinkle-bunnies back to health. He didn't vaporise or eat the park ranger! What's up with that?

Human horn The upper one is an aphrodisiac and the light of ones face. The lower is one of gods creatures and has a spark of the divine.

Freedom Cage Roll me to safety.

Big Foot Who cares? He was the least interesting ape of the entire series. It turns out Lrrr meets Frys expectations of Big Foot. He has a gentle nature inside, nurses animals back to health and teaches us about things, and in the end they shoot him. But don't shoot Lrrr, it's just going to make him mad.

Closing Credits This is another reason I don't feel the slightest guilt for downloading episodes. Watching the broadcast I didn't even notice they showed a 'The Scary Door' during the credits. All I remember was a vary annoying advertisement, I think it was for that awful Japanese game show.

This was a good, solid episode. Once again MG proves you can do a quality show by bringing together a great group of writers, actors and animators, all of whom love doing their parts. WOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!

But the dotcom boom made a whole lot of weirdos rich! (I bet Joe Firmage spent a few mil looking for him...)

This struck me as funny...

This 'The Scary Door' got the biggest laugh from me over anything else!

Relative to other Futurama episodes I can't agree. Relative to everything else, okay.

I believe that satellite was modeled after Sputnik (obviously Sputnik didn't have scrolling banners, but the overall look was the same IIRC), but if you go along with the "oldest man-made satellite in history" joke, it would "obviously" be incapable of bold lettering. At least, that's how I took it...

You have to wonder who the space billboards are meant for. They looked too small to be read from the surface by eyeball. Plus, by Amys comments, light pollution in the city must hide most of them. So they must be there for people in orbit, or people coming and going from Earth, littering the space highways. Of course, people on the surface can always read a blimp.

Japanese team to leave on quest for Yeti

A 60-year-old Japanese mountaineer will form a seven-member party and leave for a two-month Himalayan mission next month in quest for the legendary and elusive Yeti, according to his family.

House fitter Yoshiteru Takahashi, 60, will leave Japan for Nepal on August 10 with five other men, a seventh is to join the party in the capital Kathmandu, Takahashi's wife, Masako, said.

"He has been convinced of the Yeti's existence for three decades and believes searching for it is the last romantic mission left in the Himalayas," she said.

Few have even claimed to have seen the Yeti, but tracks in the snow, rare photos - often fuzzy, excretions, hairs and disputed testimonies are some of the elements that continue to fuel the debate on the "abominable snowman".

Half man, half monkey, it is said to live high up in the thick forests of Nepal and Tibet, where it is known locally by the name "migou."

Takahashi's party, ranging in age from 31 to 60, is to stay at the Dhaulagiri (White Mountain) massif, whose main peak is 8,167 metres (26,950 feet) high.

They hope to track the Yeti down by setting up at least four infra-red cameras.

Takahashi climbed the Dhaulagiri peaks twice in the 1970s and once in 1982.

He returned there in 1994 for the sole purpose of finding the Yeti - in vain.

He failed to film the Yeti although he smelled a strong animal scent and found barefoot footprints that resembled those of a small human child and measured between 10 and 20 centimetres (four and eight inches), his 56-year-old wife said.

"I know I cannot stop him as we have been married for 27 years, and I want people to understand he is serious about the mission," she said.

Thanks for the information. It's funny to think of this guy smelling his way though the mountains.

By coincidence, on CNN yesterday they had a story about a researcher filming what looked like a new species of ape in the Congo. It resembled a chimp, only much larger and with huge feet.

I really didn't like Bender's 'Woooooo'-ing. Fry was really down and this 'tin-can' just kept on coming and coming with sarcastic punches. Somehow, I wanted Bender to get 'closure' (see S05E11-Three Hundred Big Boys) in this episode, too. Lrrr or Bigfoot should whoop his shiny metal ass!

Otherwise, another great episode.
