Is this comix series to be considered an outlet for stories which, for some reason or another, were not made into an episode? Or as a continuation of the series, as no new episodes will be made?

Its like a side area for things that for whatever reason aren't an episode. For example stories that are too short or whatever (I guess)

Also some stories work better in comic form than as an episode. The publisher is Matt Groening's Bongo Comics and the editor is Bill Morrison who was art director on the series. So there's a lot of old time country care put into them.

I believe issue 11 was an unused show idea. It was written by Patric Verrone who is a writer for the show and the issue actually read more like the show and less like the comic. Probably the best issue so far besides the crossover. RM
