a message i get when i....

i was posting a letter respone to u guys and when i sent it i gott a message box that said more than 80% of this message is quoted and people in newsgroups consider this rude or something like that- do u consider it rude and what does it mean??

What that means is when you respond to a post, you do not have to print the entire post in your reply. If the program you're using automatically prints the person's post when you reply, you can move your cursor and delete some of it. See, it's very annoying to have to scroll down pages and pages of a post and then somebody just says "Yeah, me too" at the end. Just a helpful hint. And by the way, you may want to be more careful to what you type. It looks very bad and no one will take you seriously if you actually write things like "i", "u", and "gott".

You don't want to repost someone previous post when you respond. If you feel you need to, respond at the TOP of the message, with the quotes below. If you are responding to points, then you can break it up inside.

That particular message, I believe, is generated by the program you
use (not "us" or the "newsgroup") and it is to prevent people who
quote and entire post, and then put at the bottom "Me Too!".   That is
SOOOOooooo   annoying  (S0 is typing SOOOOooooo but hey...).
