I was just watching the pilot on Adult swim and when Fry falls I thought I saw a strange shadow. So, I popped in the Futurama DVD and paused it at that moment and to my suprise I saw the shadow of a Nibblonian. I would imagine that this has probably been discussed before but it justs amazes me that the story was laid out so far in advance that the episode where we find out that one of nibbler's kind pushed Fry into the stasis tube was already part of the story line.

Not only that, but also, "The Sting" told us that there was another PE crew before our started. But SP3K told them it's space wasps that destoryed the previous crew, while "The Sting", it's was space bees!
I guess Prof. Farnsworth sent more than one crew to their deaths.

Yeah, I noticed that... That episode sucked anyway, I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on until near the end when Leela actually wakes up, and only then did I realise that it was just going to be all sappy sentimental slushiness. I think they may be running out of ideas already, although I could be wrong. Also, it makes you think, that maybe if they planned out the storyline so far in advance, Fox's cancelling it cos it doesn't know whats coming next - they're nearly at the end of all that they planned out.

it isnt all that amazing... its like me saying "in three years i will post something somewhere..." will you be amazed if i do? Matt said from the beginning that the first episodes would contain "hints" to later ones... but i dont find it all that smart as it sounded at �the beginning
On the DVD commentaries they said that there was many "secrets" to future episodes in the pilot. They shouted out "HINT!" when it got to Fry blowing his party sounder.. Perhaps this was when the shadow was? (I didn't catch it..)
