I finally rewound my tape and checked. I see it too. I did a careful frame by frame, but I saw nothing else in the room that could possibly cast that shadow. The third eye stem is quite clear.

Scary. Now that it's been established just who cast that shadow, it's time to determine whether it was intentional or not. Will Nibbler's existence in the 20th century come into play in some future (perhaps time-travel related) episode?
