Too bad it's probably going to be the last new one we're going to see until maybe after football season. I thought the funniest part was that skateboarding scene between Fry and the gang leader kid! And Fry and Michelle actually thought they were in the year 4000!

I was expecting a rerun, since there was no football game that even came close to pre-empting the time slot. The local station here even ran an infomercial beforehand. The whole thing with the kids was a reference to Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. At least if my memory serves.

Was that a movie parody? I mean, I know those sorts of challenges have been done in many films, but I seem to recall one in particular that involved a skateboard race/pissing contest to determine the leader of a group of 'wayward' teens.
