This was a great episode, IMHO. I thought I'd point out that alien bride #3 (the three-eyed one with no legs) was modeled after the Great Race of Yith, from an H.P. Lovecraft story, the title of which escapes me at the moment. She should have been brown and orange, but I think she looked better purple.
Also, and this may not have been intentional, alien bride #4 looked a bit like an alien the Satelite of Love ran over in one episode of MST3K. Probably coincidence, that one.

That would in fact be the primary source of information on the "Great Race", though there a few other mentions in Lovecraft and of course in works by other contributors to the Mythos.
