Futurama Movie?

How well do you think a Futurama movie would go down? Start off with Y3000 Pilot, to introduce the story then followed by I, Roommate, then continue on with a whole new plot from thereon. I think it would be extremely popular!

Now that the Simpsons movie is actually in the planing stages, it's time to concentrate on discussing the Futurama movie. Next will be-Where is Planet Express?

Nope.

New New Jersey continued in it's role back from the twentieth century as a toxic waste dump. In the future it's just a tunnel to China.

But I have it on good authority that the city that Planet Express is located in is land locked, yet next to an ocean and bays.

It would be even more popular if they didn't waste an hour showing material that has previously been released.

OK, I get your point. I'm not talking about including the whole episode. I'm talking about the most important points. People who haven't seen Futurama before need to know the intro (how Fry was from the 20th century and how planet express started out) first. Although you and I already know. Obviously, they would make some modifications to make it better than from the series.

	That sequence isn't used at the beginning of every single
episode either, although you'll notice that they _do_ include dialogue
that'll inform the ignorant portion of the audience of what they need
to know ahead of time.
	This technique is especially obvious after commercial-breaks:

"How's that robot I ran over?" "How could Flexo have stolen the atom?" "I'm gonna be the best Ultimate Robot Fighter ever!"

The point is, the entire 3-minute intro isn't necessary.
